How Can We Honor the Consciousness of the Winter Season

Good Morning!

The consciousness, or invisible essence, of each season is different.  To understand what that means, you have to look to Nature.  In Winter, Nature rests peacefully, restoring and gathering energy necessary for Spring growth and renewal.  Everything quiets down.  Of course, that's not to say that winter storms don't occur.  Observe how trees, plants and animals cope with those storms.  We can learn a lot.

But in our busy lives, staying peaceful and calm, resting quietly and listening to the messages of Nature is not always possible.  We can do our best by bundling up, staying out of the wind, getting into bed early, and eating nourishing food that warms us from the inside.

Find quiet ways to enjoy the Winter months, be it reading a good book, engaging in a favorite hobby or craft.  Learn something new or rediscover your love for something old.  Refresh, renew, and restore.  I am seeing this message everywhere I look.  My inbox is filled with ways to benefit from the "Slow-Down" season.  So nurture your body, mind and spirit.  Spring is just around the corner.

With love and gratitude,

Esther
