The Importance of Sharing

Good Afternoon!
A bell's not a bell 'til you ring it, A song's not a song 'til you sing it, Love in your heart wasn't put there to stay, Love isn't love 'til you give it away!
I can't believe it's already the afternoon after the big snow event of January 25th. From inside the warmth of my home where I sat and watched Nature's beauty blanket the Earth, I felt gratitude, awe, and wonder.
This winter has brought a lot of cold temps to the world; the kind of weather that makes me want to stay inside where it's warm and eat warming foods to nourish me in my body and soul. Lots of layers for warmth when I venture out to the market or other place of necessity. I even now wear a knitted beanie; I sucked up my vanity and traded it for comfort and protection.
My small screen viewing has shifted to rom-coms and fantasy with little real violence. I listen to more classical music and even meditative music. Nothing too exciting for me. I find that I seek inner peace and recognize the difference in how I feel and the ease with which I experience my daily life when I listen to my body and emotions as I choose and make decisions.
And so on this journey of self-exploration and discovery, I have learned that sharing my experiences is beneficial for me and perhaps, hopefully, for others. I plan to resume by blog/emails to you and this is the start. If there's something you want to hear about (Qigong and Chinese medicine tips for example) or if you no longer want to hear from me, just let me know.
In the meantime, here is a recent blog from TCM World Foundation with some great tips on how to beat the "winter blues".
With love and gratitude,
-
Esther
